Wallace Concrete Pumping Truck Reportedly Skips Site Access Entirely By Hovering Over Excavation On Four Small Rockets, Haters Say It's AI
SYDNEY CBD, PROBABLY — A Wallace Concrete Pumping rig has been spotted hovering above a deep city excavation on a row of jet flames, solving the oldest problem in the trade, which is getting the truck to the pour, by simply not using the ground.
The footage was posted to Instagram by @wallacepumping with the caption "Haters will say it's AI", set to Bag Raiders' Shooting Stars. Instagram has gone ahead and slapped an "AI content" label on it anyway, which the crew are understood to be treating as a review.
In the clip, the 38-metre boom truck glides past the glass towers with its wheels dangling, well clear of the pit, the crane and a very surprised-looking pile of site equipment below.
"Access is shit, so he's taken the express route," said a linehand who has never once been given a decent set-down spot. "Honestly, it's the most sensible thing I've seen on a CBD job."
Transport analysts confirmed the manoeuvre would eliminate the need for traffic control, a crane and the 4am phone call about the gate being locked.
The turn: the truck is yet to be seen explaining to the foreman why it's early.
At press time, the crew had asked everyone to stop calling it AI and start calling it a very ambitious pre-start.
Satire, obviously.
Satire, obviously.PumpLife is a satirical publication about the concrete pumping and concrete industry. The stories here are made up for a laugh and are not statements of fact. Any resemblance to a real operator, concreter, pump or smoko is a coincidence.
