Bali Pump Crew Sets Up Under A Nest Of Power Lines And Asks Safety Who The Fuck That Is, Sydney Says Never Heard Of Her Either
IT’S ALL FUN AND GAMES UNTIL I POST THE SAME SHIT IN AUSTRALIA AND YOUR BOSS RINGS ME TO TAKE IT DOWN
ULUWATU, BALI — Funny how this fucking industry works, isn’t it? Post a concrete pump in Bali doing cowboy shit around power lines and everyone’s laughing, tagging their mates and carrying on like it’s the greatest thing they’ve ever seen.
But fuck me, let PUMPLYF post the exact same shit happening in Australia or America and suddenly the boss is ringing within five minutes, having a fucking meltdown, demanding we take it down before someone recognises the truck.
Same industry. Same stupid shit. Different fucking postcode.
“Live and die concrete, though.” That’s the closing statement of this Bali masterpiece, and apparently the entire safety induction for a pour where the pump is working underneath enough power lines to run a small fucking country.
Safety? Never heard of her, cowboy.
The setup is an absolute pearler. Mixer backed up to a truck pump on a live road, scooter parked beside it like it’s part of the exclusion zone, and a bloke standing on the back of the pump working the hose like he’s never had a safety officer ruin his morning.
And the fucking power lines? A whole bird’s nest hanging over the lot of them.
“Look at the pump on the power lines,” says the bloke filming, like he’s spotted a nice sunset.
No panic. No paperwork. Just another day pouring fucking concrete.
And before every Aussie safety hero starts carrying on, don’t pretend this shit doesn’t happen back home.
Every crew has seen a pump tucked under wires, a boom squeezed beside a pole and some supervisor saying “she’ll be right” because he’s already three weeks behind schedule.
The only difference is the Bali boys get palm trees while the Aussies get a toolbox meeting and a bloke from head office losing his fucking mind.
But here’s what cracks me up.
You gronks will happily share this Bali video, laugh your arses off and tag every pumper you know.
Yet the second PUMPLYF posts an Aussie or American crew doing the same shit, everyone suddenly becomes a fucking workplace safety ambassador.
“Take that down, mate.”
“That’s our company.”
“Someone’s going to lose their job.”
Fuck off. You were laughing at the Bali blokes five minutes ago.
Apparently cowboy pumping is hilarious until the company logo belongs to someone you know.
Electricity doesn’t give a fuck what country you’re in. It’ll kill you just the same.
The pour went ahead. The concrete got pumped. And somewhere in Australia, a boss is laughing at this video while preparing to ring me about the next one.
LIVE AND DIE CONCRETE, THOUGH.
Satire, obviously.PumpLife is a satirical publication about the concrete pumping and concrete industry. The stories here are made up for a laugh and are not statements of fact. Any resemblance to a real operator, concreter, pump or smoko is a coincidence.
