“19-Year-Old Operator Claims 10 Years’ Experience, 1600 Cube on the Hose easy work , Will Do Anything If Paid”

Today, PumpLife HQ received what can only be described as one of the greatest job applications in Australian concrete pumping history.
A young fella slid into the DMs asking if we could help him find work.
Standard stuff. No worries.
We replied with the usual: “Sweet mate, what experience you got?”
What followed was not a resume
Not a ticket list.
Not even a photo of a pump.
Instead, we received a full-blown voice message manifesto outlining a career so stacked it would make a 30-year veteran question their own existence.
The applicant proudly announced he doesn’t have a license, but has apparently been pumping since he was nine years old and is now 19 — meaning, by his maths, he’s clocking up a decade in the game by New Year. He assured us he knows “everything there is to need to know,” can operate boom pumps, line pumps, handle 1600 cube on the hose, spray pools, spray roads, spray whatever’s nearby, and is willing to do anything and everything as long as he’s getting paid.
He did clarify he’s “not the best” at some things — but he’s “done a little little bit of it,” which in industry terms is basically a trade qualification.
The confidence was elite.
The delivery? Unmatched.
The self-belief? Absolutely generational.
At just 19 years old, this bloke has somehow managed to compress 40 years of experience into one teenage highlight reel, and honestly, we respect the hustle. If confidence paid concrete rates, this kid would already own three pumps and a jet ski.
To be clear — we’re not mad.
We’re impressed.
And we’re laughing… a lot.
Moral of the story?
Never underestimate the confidence of a young operator with Instagram, Wi-Fi, and a voice memo button.
If nothing else, this is living proof that the future of the industry is loud, confident, and completely unhinged — and we wouldn’t have it any other way.
Stay safe out there, legends.
